The date has been set for Eliud Kipchoge's sub-2-hour marathon attempt, according to INEOS 1:59 Challenge organizers. The exhibition race will definitely take place Saturday.

The weather forecast appears ideal for racing Saturday in Vienna, Austria. The only question that remains is when the event will start. Organizers are targeting a start window between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. local time. That places the starting window between 11 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday EDT.

Event organizers will announce the event start time Friday.
